Just nuts Granola, A family favourite!

I make this gluten free, grain free granola every week as it is so popular and has taken the place of cereals in our house. Eaten with berries, fresh or frozen and full fat plain greek yoghurt. Great with extra thick double cream too.


100g hazelnuts

100g almonds

100g brazils

100g pecans

100g desiccated coconut

chia seeds – a handful

pumpkin seeds – a handful

50ml organic virgin coconut oil melted ( I use Lucy bee coconut oil )

50ml raw honey

optional – ground cinnamon


Pre heat oven 180c

Put nuts, one type at a time into a food processor and roughly chop


add desiccated coconut, seeds and stir,


melt coconut oil and pour in with the honey



stir well


spread onto two greased baking trays ( use coconut oil )


and pop in a pre heated oven180c for 7 mins

remove from oven and stir

put back in the oven for a further 7 mins ( keep an eye, incase the granola burns )

the granola should be a golden brown

remove from oven and leave to cool


store in an airtight container


The great thing about this breakfast granola is that you know exactly what goes into it!

Far superior to the sugar laden cereals and granolas available in the supermarkets.
